Craven scoops gold in the 34th international Nedbank cycling race

WINDHOEK, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Dan Craven scooped a gold medal in the 100km men's race in the 34th edition of the Nedbank international cycle race on Sunday in the Namibia's capital of Windhoek in a time of two hours 26 seconds.

Not to be outdone was Vera Adrian who clinched the women's 100km cycle race in two hours 53 seconds.

The second and third spot for the men's 100km cycling challenge went to Nolan Hoffman and Alex Miller respectively while Michelle Vorster and Genevieve Weber completed the second and third slots for the women.

Arguably one of Namibia's biggest sports events on the Namibia sports calender, the annual Nedbank Cycling championships attracted above 1000 participants of different ages.

The Nedbank Cycling challenge which celebrated 34 years on Sunday also attracted different cyclist from as far as South Africa and Switzerland.

Other cyclist who made podium finishses included Mimi Hough, Marion Schonecke and Run a Lambert taking positions one, two and three in the 60km race in that sequence.

The men's 60km race saw Devon Farmer, Bergran Jansen and Kinrad Marias taking the top three places. Enditem
